The World Without Us Book Review
First I would like to say that The World Without Us by Alan Weisman is a long book so if you don’t like longer books this may not be for you. That being said, it is a book that shows how nature has and will overcome all the things we’ve done to it. It gives many different examples and points. There are four parts to the book and each part is broken up into different chapters. The different parts seem to focus on different points. For example the first part focuses on cities and how nature will overcome them (as well as how it has in the past). While part two focuses on how we’ve come up with so many different things that hurt nature. They talk about how we have created plastics and how almost all of the plastic ever created is still in the world. Alan Weisman presents many different facts and examples of the resiliency of nature as well as how we can hurt it. If you are interested in learning about what we have done to the world and what will happen when humans die out this is the book for you.
