In the novel, Your Inner Fish by Neil Shubin, he discusses many of his different voyages to try and uncover new fossils; from the road shoulders in Maryland, to the cliffs of Iceland. Shubin is also a professor, so he touches on how he includes his students on various trips and how they play a large part in finding his fossils. One of his most impressive discoveries, only about a year and a half ago, was finding a fish with elbows, and a neck - that was a missing link between land animals and water organisms! Overall, I found this book very interesting, although it does get slightly repetitive towards the end when he largely discusses his different trips.
