Environments and Energy level

Here are some examples of where rocks may be found due to existing energy levels:
Conglomerate/Breccia:
-may be found in an area where a river meets the ocean
-high velocity water capable of carrying large grains
-high velocity water creates the rounded smaller pebbles making up conglomerate rocks

Sandstone
-may be found in the desert where lithification occurs and compacts sand
-also may be found in a shallow body of water
-found in area of low to medium energy

Siltstone/Shale
-Siltstone may be found in an area of warm climate where there is high pressure and lithification of silt will occur
-Shale may be found in the same area as siltstone but results from the lithification of clay
-both can be found in mountains, shallow sea shelfs and river beds (where there is not a lot of movement)
