Tertiary Review

Here's the script from the Tertiary Period group. Hope it helps.

Script
A long, long time ago (65.5 million years ago to 2.6 million years ago) in a place that wasn’t all that far away (it actually happened here on earth)… there was the Tertiary period. It was the first part of the Cenozoic Era. The Tertiary was notable for many notable happenings, such as a global cooling land bridges between the continents, which had since separated from the supercontinent of Pangaea
The Tertiary Period was big on animals. Following the mass extinction at the end of the Cretaceous Period, which wiped out roughly 80% of all animals, there was a huge growth in mammals (it was a part of the Cenozoic Era, which is the Age of Mammals), flowering plants, birds, and insects. However, the number of reptile species sharply declined. Additionally, the first primitive humans, called hominids, had begun to appear towards the end of the Tertiary Period.
In terms of climate, this period started off very warm and moist, which supported the dense forests that were common during that time. A large percentage of the earth was tropical. By the middle of the period, the climate had started to cool off, and grasslands and woodlands became prevalent. To end the Tertiary Period, there was a dry ice age, which led to land bridges (Asia- North America, Britain-Europe, and Southeast Asia-Borneo) being formed. And thus ended the Tertiary Period.
