The Velociraptor

The Smartest Dinosaur

In the movie Jurassic Park, they feature a dinosaur called the velociraptor. In the movie these dinos' were portrayed as smart, cunning, and something you don't want to run into. this dinosaur actually lived in the Cretaceous but other than that, Hollywood might not be so far off. Velociraptors were small compared to most other dinosaurs; they were about three to four feet tall and about six feet long. The reason for there intelligence is that their brain was imporportionally large for its size. they could run up to 40 miles an hour and jump over or around almost anything in the forest Velociraptors often lived and hunted in numbers. They used hunting tactics that were more organized than the first hominids that appeared at the end of the Quaternary. Their tactics were hit and run because their prey was often tens of times larger than them. They would surround their prey and communicate using slight hand motions and clicks they also confused their pray by mimicing the distress sounds of the dinosaur they were attacking. the group often kept atacking umtill the dinosaur would bleed to to death Velociraptors were defiantly the coolest of all the dinosaurs.
