Week of Oct. 5th

I thought I would stick to our mineral theme....

What mineral am I?
    - I have metallic luster
    - I can be found in many different geologic environments
    - In the 7th century B.C., the Estruscans used "me" to fix false teeth; today I am still used in dentistry because I am nontoxic and durable
    - All of "me" that that has ever been mined in the world would only fill one-third of the Washington Monument
    - Serendipity 3, a restaurant in New York City, serves "me" on an ice cream sundae.  The Golden Opulence Sundae costs $1000.
    - I am used in aerospace applications - for example, more than 40 kg of "me" were used in the construction of the Columbia space shuttle.
