After today's disscussion I was curious if there were any substances harder than diamonds, and it turns out there are!! There is a material called wurtzite boron nitride (w-BN), that has a stronger indentation strength than a diamond! Also, lonsdaleite (which is made up of Carbon and is similar to a diamond, so it is also know as hexagonal diamond), is even stronger than w-BN, and 58% stronger than diamond. The picture to the right is a picture of lonsdaleite.
