Off the cost of Queensland, Australia, fishermen hauled a still thrashing 10ft long great white shark onto their boat. What's special about that? Well, the great white had two 1-2ft wide bites on either side of its body, leaving a small amount of skin and meat holding its head to the rest of its body. This great white was attacked by a possible 20ft long "giant shark" after it got stuck on a drum which is "a baited hook attached to a buoy" which (along with shark nets) is used to keep sharks out of swimming areas and away from swimmers and surfers. Jeff Krause told Australia's Daily Telegraph that "it certainly opened up [his] eyes. I mean the shark that was caught is a substantial shark in itself" and surfers in the area have said that they've heard stories about the "big one" lurking in the waters and that they've been more careful where they surf. Swimmers have been warned to stay away from the area where the 10ft shark was found.
