So I didn't really know what to write about, then the Oldest Rock popped into my head. I thought that would be a great idea for a post. So the picture to the right is of the Nuwuagittuq Greenstone belt north or Quebac. So anyways this is the location of some of the oldest known rocks ever discovered. According to the article I was reading, Scientists discovered a rock on September 25, 2008. They did numberous tests to determine the period of time of which this rock has been on planet Earth. Shockingly they discovered that the rock was around 3.8 billion years old. Thats nearly as old as the earth it self!! and its still around??
